October News:



mexican_day_of_the_dead_2016_a5_flyer_v6 On Friday 28 October we will be in Basingstoke “Top of The Town” for Mexican Day of Dead. 

If you’re in the area come on down with your kids, get dressed up and join in the



The event will be artistically led by Copperdollar is in collaboration with Proteus

and Big Adventures.  Benedict Sheehan will be bringing The

Willis Museum in Market Place alive with his digital trickery. Jim Sanders and Kt

Simpson are creating a huge skeletal masterpiece that the Proteus Half Term participants will be parading through the town.

There will be youth Dance groups JG And BAD performing.  The Shed of Stories,

Face Painting and Lantern Decorating workshops by Scratch Built Productions and

Copperdollar. Look out for those devilishly cheeky Copperdollar Skelly girls dancing about to the

tunes by The Marching SKAletons and DJ Marc Stylus.

It all kicks off at midday  with performances in the Market Place and it culminates with a Parade of Light, a unique Mexican themed party procession including professional performers and local dancers with night revellery  starting from 6pm

Decorate your sugarskull however you like (Click here for inspiration). Photograph or scan your design and email it to to have them included in our large art display, projected onto the WIllis during the Basingstoke Day of Event event on the 28th October.

You can also simply take a portrait photo of yourself and send to to have these included in the artwork! We’re looking forward to your designs, but please keep them family friendly.
